Go Farther Together

💫 “If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.”
– African proverb

I was recently reminded of this quote and haven’t stopped thinking about it.

As a small business owner, it’s easy to default to wearing alllllll of the hats: setting goals, making decisions, troubleshooting in your head late at night. But lately, I’ve seen firsthand the power of community and collaboration.

I recently had the opportunity to photograph the team at Edgility Consulting during their in-person retreat. The team came together from different parts of the country and it was an inspiring fly-on-the-wall experience for me to be in the room with them. From their leadership coaching, big-picture planning, and business conversations, I loved witnessing the power of celebrating wins, holding each other accountable, and helping each other move forward, together. There's magic that happens when you're in the room together.

📷 The first part of this photo session took place outdoors on the nearby UC Berkeley campus for headshots and team photos before we moved indoors. I love how everyone came together for this particular photo with very little posing guidance from me.
